Redmi K90 Pro Max debuts with flagship performance and audio innovation

Redmi has officially unveiled its newest flagship killer — the Redmi K90 Pro Max. The smartphone brings cutting-edge performance, immersive sound, and premium design to the K series lineup.

It marks the return of the Pro Max variant, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and backed by a massive 7,560mAh silicon-carbon battery.

Bose-tuned 2.1 channel speakers for immersive sound

Redmi has partnered with Bose to bring a first-of-its-kind 2.1 channel speaker system to the K90 Pro Max.

The setup includes dual speakers—one at the top and one at the bottom—and an independent woofer on the back next to the cameras. Together, they deliver deeper bass and richer sound quality. Bose has fine-tuned the system for clear highs, detailed mids, and powerful low frequencies, promising a cinematic experience from a smartphone.

Triple 50MP camera setup with Xiaomi’s flagship sensor

The K90 Pro Max features a triple 50MP camera system on the rear. The main camera uses Xiaomi’s Light Fusion 950 sensor with optical image stabilization and a 1/1.31″ sensor size.

It’s joined by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 102° field of view. This combination promises high-quality shots across all focal lengths, even in low light.

Large 6.9-inch OLED display and new design textures

Up front, the phone sports a 6.9-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,608 x 1,200px resolution. It peaks at 3,500 nits brightness, ensuring excellent visibility outdoors.

The display is protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass and supports a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen. A 32MP selfie camera sits neatly at the top.

Redmi offers the device in black, white, and blue. The blue variant uses a denim-like fabric back, while the others have matte textured glass finishes.

Battery, charging, and software

The Redmi K90 Pro Max packs a 7,560mAh silicon-carbon battery, offering enhanced longevity and stability. It supports 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging, covering every possible need.

Out of the box, it runs HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, and features IP68 dust and water resistance.

Pricing and availability

The Redmi K90 Pro Max starts at CNY 3,999 (approx. $561) for the base 12GB/512GB variant and goes up to CNY 5,299 ($743) for the top 16GB/1TB model.

There’s also a Champion Edition, built in collaboration with Lamborghini Automobiles Racing Team, priced at CNY 5,499 ($771).
